The Marlowe — Knurled Handle

Function

Function refers to how the handle or knob operates on the door — whether it turns a latch, locks for privacy, uses a key, or is fixed in place.

PASSAGE

A passage set is used for doors that do not need locking.

It includes two operating handles or knobs and a latch. The handle turns to open and close the door, but it does not lock.

Best for: closets, hallways, laundry rooms, pantry doors, and other non-locking doors.

PRIVACY — PIN LOCK

A pin lock privacy set is used for rooms that need simple privacy without a key.

It locks from the inside using a small push pin on the rosette and includes an exterior emergency release.

Best for: bathrooms, bedrooms, guest rooms, and other private rooms.

PRIVACY — KEYLESS TURNLOCK

A keyless turnlock privacy set is used for rooms that need simple privacy without a key.

It locks from the inside with a thumbturn and includes an emergency release on the outside.

Best for: bathrooms, bedrooms, guest rooms, and other private rooms.

KEYED LOCK

A keyed lock set is used when an interior door needs key access from the outside and thumbturn locking from the inside.

It includes an interior thumbturn, exterior key cylinder, lock body, keys, and required installation hardware.

Best for: home offices, storage rooms, supply closets, and interior rooms where keyed access is preferred.

The included key cylinder can be replaced or rekeyed by a qualified locksmith if needed, depending on the installation and lock compatibility.

Not recommended for exterior entry doors or as primary exterior security hardware.

DUMMY

A dummy set is fixed in place and does not turn, latch, or lock.

It is used where a functional latch is not needed, such as closets, pantry doors, French doors, inactive doors, or decorative pull applications.

Each dummy set includes 2 fixed handles. These can be installed back-to-back on both sides of one door, or used separately as single-sided surface-mounted pulls depending on the door/application.

Rosette

The rosette is the round or square backplate behind the handle or knob.

It sits between the hardware and the door surface, giving the handle a finished look and helping cover the prepared bore hole.

Caselle rosettes are sized for standard U.S. door applications. For replacement projects, the rosette should fully cover the existing bore hole for a clean finished installation.
